Anthony S. Makara, 56 of Cumru Twp., passed away on July 22nd  in Reading Hospital.  He was the husband of Bonnie L. (Williams) Makara.  Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Anthnoy and Mary (Buben) Makara.  Surviving in additon to his wife is one son, Anthony S. Star L. Young, 53 of Hamburg, Tilden Twp., passed away on July 6th in the Reading Hospital.  She was the wife of Harold A. Young for 32 years.  Born in Allentown, PA., she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Mabel (Dries)Landis.  Starr had been employed fby Dori Martin Catering Co of Fleetwood for over 13 years.  She enjoyed Camping, Family and Friends and especially her grandchildren.  Survving in additon to her husband are two sons, Derek W. Young, Hamburg, PA, Andrew R. Jacqueline F. Wolfe, 77 of Kenhosrt, passed awy on June 11th in the Reading Hospital. She was the wife of the late Frederick D. Wolfe Sr.  Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Roebrt and Alma (Steffy) Graves.  Jacqueline was employed by the former Wilson Safety Prodcuts of Reading for over 34 years until she retired.  Surviving are two sons, Frederick D. Wolfe, Jr., Kenhorst, PA, Robert G. German, 53 of Reading, died May 26th in her residence.  She was the companion of Michael Tarnoski.   Born in Reading, PA., she was the daughter of the late William German and Patricia (Farich) German.  She was bartender for the Jackson Democratic Club, Reading.  Surviving in additon to her companion is one daughter, Tiffany A. wife of Jason L. Ernest C. Dixon, Jr., 69 of Cumru Twp., Mohnton, died May 19th in his residence. He was the husband of Sharon (Slagle) Dixon of 47 years.  Born in Johnstown, PA., he was the son of the late ernest C. JOHN C. "BERKEY" BERKHEIMER
John C. "Berkey" Berkeimer, 88, died May 1st in Muhlenberg Twp., where he resided wit hhis daughter and son-in-law since June of 2016.  He previously lived in Fort Pierce, FL.  He was a devoted husband of Mary L. (Mullin) Berkheimer, died December 3, 2015.  Born August 1, 1928 in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late John R. and Helen B. (Maier) Berkheimer.  John was a  World War II Veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Lyman K. Swenson.  He was a retired U.S. Iron Worker, Local 420.  John was  creative and loved to entertain wheather singing karaoke or performing as his alter-ego, Professor Magico, magician and comedian.  He loved all animals, especiall "His llittle girl", Pinky the cat.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret E.; son, Rocklyn D; and stepson, Wayne Ruginski.  Survving is one daughter, Julie (Krick), wife of Chris Zezenski, Sr., Muhlenberg Twp; daughter-in-laws, Vicki Esbensen and Donna Ruginski; step-daughter, Dale Joy wife of Kenneth; eight grandchildren, Nichole Becker, Christopher and Adam Zezenski, Tia Weidenhammer, Jennifer Bulliner, and John, Ben and Nick Berkheimer; four step-grandchildren, Tara Joy-Connelly, Lisa Joy, and Collin and Kirsten Ruginski; 14 great-grandchildren; and step-great-grandchildren.  A Memorial serviec will be held at the farm house of Jim Dietrick Park, Muhlenberg Twp, on Wednesday, May 17th from 4:30 to 7:30 PM, servie to start at 5:15 PM.  In liue of flowers memorials may be made to your favorite charity for the care of and protection of Animals.  CRAMP-HUMMEL Funeral Home, Centre Park, Reading has charge of arrangements.

John D. Glucksnis, 56 of Mohrsville, died April 3rd in his residence.  He was the husband of Amber D. (Hohl) Glucksnis.  Born in Reading, PA., he was the son of John Glucksnis Jr and Annette G. William Ramos Colon, 46 of Exeter Twp., died April 1st in his residence.  He was the husband of Tammy M. (Heath) Colon.  Born in Reading, PA., he was the son of William Ramos Colon of Texas and Nancy E. (Kalbach) wife of Terry Mitchell of Reading.  He worked as a car salesman for Piazza Subura of Limmerick.  Surviving in additon to his parents and wife is one daughter, Amber A. Colon, Lancaster, PA; one step daughter, Kaitylyn Missimer, at home; one step son, Tyler Missimer, at home; one grandchild. Wanda Melendez Pena, 51 of Lebanon, died March 30th in Hershey Medical Center.   Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Carmen L. Pena, Arroyo, Puerto Rico, and the late Juan Jose Melendez.  Surviving are two sons, Luis Rosario Melendez,  Reading, PA, Jose A. Gabiono Arana Vargas, 83 of Reading, passed away March 18th in ManorCare, Sinking Spring.  He was the husband of the late Juana Marcedo Cruz.  Born in Conburindio Michuacan Mexico, he was the son of the late Plasido Mimenes and late Teresa Arana.  Gabino was employed for many years as a Harvester for Giorgio Mushrooms of Temple.  Surviving are two daughters, Teodocia Arana and Sergia Arana; four sons, Rodrigo Arana, Gonsolo Arana, Marcus Arana and Meliton Aran all of Reading; two sisters, Aurora Arana and Geronima Arana, both of Mexico; 19 Grandchildren 5 Grat Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandchild.  Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 12:00 Noon  at Cramp-Hummel Funeral Home, 934 Centre Ave., Reading.  A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Thursday from 11:00 AM to Noon at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Charles Evans Cemetery,  Reading.  CRAMP-HUMMEL Funeral Home, Centre Park, Reading has charge of arangements.

Tiffany A. Shea, 53 of Laureldale, died March 2nd in the Reading Hospital.  Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Maryann (Smith) Kozlowski.  Tiffany worked as a Teacher's Assistant at Northwest Middle School, Reading.  She also had been employed at Grumpies Bar as a bartender in Laureldale.  Tiffany was a member of Holy Guardian Angles Catholic Church.  She was pre deceased by one son, Michael Livinghouse; one sister, Christina Nowotarski.  Surviving are two sons, Andrew E. Livinghouse, Neiko E. James A. Davidheiser, 89 of Exeter Twp., passed away on March 2nd in his daughters residence.  He was the husband of the late Elynor N. (Gamboy) Davidheiser.  Born in Reading, he was the son of the late late James A. and Dorothy M. (Strunk) Davidheiser.  James ws a Reading High School Graduate and retired from Yeager Supply Co. sicne 2015 after working in Industrial Sales for over 30 ears.  He was pre deceased by a grandson, Shane B. O'Reilly.  Surviving are two daughters, Diane L. Dooley, Lisa B. O'Reilly, both of Exeter Twp; two sons, James A. Davidheiser, Richard J. Vogt, both of Reading; one brother, Wyane G. Betty Delora Hansen, 87, died on February 23, 2017.  Formerly of Exeter, she had been a resident of The Highlands of Wyomissing for the last four years.  Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Fern (Gehret and Lester Mendelsohn.  Her late husband, William C. Paul L. Naumann, 73 of Reading, passed away on Feb 13th in his residence.  Born in Clevland, Ohio, he was the son of the late George R. and Clara A. (Moebus) Naumann.  Paul was a US Airforce Veteran.  Paul had worekd as a project manager for Optimum Controls Corp. of Bern Twp., Reading over the last 10 years, last working on Friday, Feb. 10th.  He was the former owner and operator of Display Date of Cockeysville, MD.  Paul wa an excellent golfer.  Surviving is one son, Dylan P. Naumann, Parkville, MD; four brothers, Joseph  L. husband of Iona Naumann,  Dallastown, PA, Mark A. husband of Kim Naumann,  Glen Burnie, MD, George R. husband of Rhonda Naumann, WIlliamsburg, KY, Terry A. husband of Renee, King George, VA; one sister, Tammi J. Frances Hummel, 87 of Frackville, passed away on February 15th in her residence.  She was the wife of the late Walter W. Hummel, Sr.  Born in Frackville, she was the daugher of the late Florie and Margaret (Kietsock) Wilinski.  Frances was a member of First Untied Methodist Church, Frackville.  She had been a Machine Operator for Model Garment of Frackvile for 27 years until she retired in 1989.  Frances ws also a member of the American Legion Post 398 of Fraackville, Ladies Auxiliary.  She is pre deceased by two sisters, Dorothy Rice, Joan O'Boyle; one brother, Floyd Wilinski.  Surviving is one son, Walter W. husband of Roaslie M. Hummel, Frackville; one daughter, Ethel "Chickie" Dziezek, Frackville; one sister, Helen Hopko, Frackville; 5 Grandsons; 5 Great Grandsons.  Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM in the Thomas M. Gary L. Stewart, 66 of Birdsboro, Exeter Twp., died Jan 2nd in his residence.  He was the husband of Sylvia I (Brown) Stewart for 50 years.  Born in Connellsville, PA., he was the son of Elsie M. (Hutchinson) Stewart of Connellsville, PA, and the late William E. Stewart.  Gary had been a US Army Veteran and had been a retired Welder for many years.  He was a graudate of Connellsville High School 1968.  Surviving in additon to his wife and mother are three daughters, Sherry L. wife of Roger Knight, Connellsville, PA, Kelly R. wife of Robert L. Haas, Birdsboro, PA, Kimberly S. wife of David Freed, Oley, PA;  brothers, William E. NANCY L. ARAEL

Nancy L. Arael, 69 of Wyomissing, passed away Dec. 27th in her residence.  Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Anna (Paietrantonio) Aiello.  Nancy was a graduate of Holy Name High School.  She worked many places including  being a Guidance Counselor at Albright College, and then where she steered thousands of young minds to vocational schools or colleges as the Career Counselor at Reading High School.  Later she opened the Comfy Chair Coffee House years before coffee houses became popular.  She took on life with a smile.  If she was afraid to do something, she didt it.  If she was told she could not succeed at somethging, she proved people wrong.  She learned to fly planes, became an author, but mostly my mom helped others live happier lives.  That will be Nancy's Legacy.  She tuaght others and helped others and led by example lifing life to the fullest.  She was pre deceased by one sister, Joanne Davis.  Surviving is one son, Michael J. William L. Martin, 69 of Adamstown, died December 4th in his residence.  Born in West Reading, PA, he was the son of the late William B. and Betty M. (Katzenmoyer) Martin.  He was a 1965 graduate of Reading High School.  William loved his cats and was also an avid Harley Davidson Rider.  Surviving are two brothers, Donald B. Natasha A. Vargas, 24 of Reading, died Dec. 1st in Penn Twp.  Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, she was the daughter of Isabel (Lorenzo) Vargas and the late Hector Luis Vargas.  She is survied in additon to her mother is one son, Nicholas Gomez, at home; one daughter, Nashly Pacheco, at home; two sisters, Natalie Vargas, Reading, PA, Naomi Vargas, Newark, NJ; one brother, Hector Vargas, Reading, PA.  Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 PM in Cramp-Hummel Funeral Home, 934 Centre Ave., Reading.  A viewing wil be held from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM.  Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery.

LEONOA M. ROSARIO

Leona M. Rosario, 67 of Reading, passed away on Nov. 7th in St. Joseph Hospital, Bern Twp.  She was the wife of Jose A. Rosario for over 40 years.  Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Emily (Peffer) Shingle.  Leona has always been a hard worker during her life mostly performing manual labor with the Myers Cannin Co., Mt. Laurel Canning and several other area companies throughout her career.  She was a member of Spring Valley Church of God, Reading.  Surviving in additon to her husband she is survived by her sons, Jose W. Rosario companion of Eileen Albino, Philadelphia, PA, Lenny husband of Bambi Shingle, Reading, PA, Donnie husband of Tina Shingle, Birdsboro, PA, Alfredo Camacho, New Haven, CT, Freddie Camacho-Rosario, Reading, PA, Kenny Echevari - Rosario, Allentown, PA; one sister, Darlene Shingle, Pottstown, PA; 10 Grandchildren; 7 Great Grandchildren. REBECCA "BECCA" E. WELLER

Rebeca E. Weller, 36 of Reading, passed away on Sept. 24th in Philadelphia, PA.  Born in Reading, PA., she was the daughter of Lloyd Weller of Boyertown and Peggy J. Weller of Reading.    She was a graduate of Reading High School and attended Ursinus College. JACK R. LEBO

Jack R. Lebo, 83 of Reading, passed away on Oct. 2nd in the Reading Hospital.  He was the former husband of Esta E. (Bowers) Lichtenwalter.  Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Lewster and Emma Lebo. Jack was a US Navy veteran.  He worked as a Foreman at a former shoe factory in Reading and then for Wilson Safety Products of Reading in the Maintenance Dept.  Jack retired fro mthe Giant Food Store of Lancaster Ave., whereh worked as a Maintenance technician.  Surviving is additon to  his former wife is one daughter, Kathleen wife of Robert Stierly, Morgantown, PA; one grandson, Michael R. GERTRUDE E. DALEY

Gertrude E. Daley, 91 of Wyomissing, passed away peacefully September 10th in her residence with her family present.  Sh was the wife of the late Robert L. Daley, who passed away in 2004.  Born in Ingston, PA., she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary M. (Rogers) Vincent.  Gertrude was a homemaker, and a member of Holy Guardian Angles Catholic Church for many years.  After the passing of her husband, she became of memebr of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Sinking Spring.  Gertrude loved golfing with her husband, Robert and his friends.  She had a great sense of humor and was an avid reader, and loved spending time with her family and friends.  Gertrude enjoyed sports, especially college fottball, watching both Notre Dame and Penn State games.  She always looked forward to her weekly lunch dates with her beloved friend, Bernice Monger.  She was predeceased by a brother John.  She is survived by on daughter, Patricia A. wife of Gary L. Monger, Leesport, PA.; one son, Michael J. Daley, husband of Dr. Carol Labate, Mohnton, PA; one sister, Florence D. HELENE K. GOOD

Helene K. Good, 95 formerly of Muhlenberg Twp., died Aug. 23rd in ManorCare Laureldale where she was a resident.  She was the wife of the late Abner C. Good, who passed away in April, 1983.  Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Ernesto Stefanucci and Eleanor (Roslin) Palsgrove.  Helene was a graduate of West Reading High School class of 1938.  She was a retired Secretary for the Dana Corp for many years, also working for Firestone, Ludens and the Reading School Disctrict.  Sh was predeceased by brothers, Rudolph and Joseph Stefanucci and sisters, Caroline Zanino and Violet Stefanucci.   Surviving is one daughter, Lynn E. wife of Larry Heller, Muhlenberg Twp; one son, Dennis A. husband of Helen "Tina" Good, Laureldale; 3 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, 4 Great Great Grandchildren; 3 Step Grandchildren, 7 Step Great Grandchildren.  Graveside Services will be held on Friday  at 2:00 PM In Laureldale Cemetery, Reading.  In lieu of flowers memorials mayb be made in her memory to the Alzheimers Disease Asssociation of Reading.  CRAMP-HUMMEL Funeral Home, Reading has charge of arrangements.
